Well, have you missed us? Oh I am sure you have. Moms we're not dead. Lack of free internet has limited our communication, but here we are with another wonderful update.
We just left Killarney. We loved it!! We had been looking forward to Killarney from day one for many reasons, though the town is touristy it is nestled right next to the largest and oldest national park in Ireland.
Killarney and the Railway Hostel...our home for 3 days. Fabulous. We were in a 9 bed mixed dorm and made fast friends with our roomies and others around the hostel. Aiden (Canada), Uta (Germany), and Flavien, who we call Flava Flav from time to time (France) were are favs...but we can't leave unmentioned our older german roomie who prefered wearing only his silk skibbies at night. Kelly was the fortunate one to discover this fact as she was startled by him in his undies waking her up to ask how to turn the lights off. Her thoughts..."please do."
Although we hung out with many a hosteler our hearts were always with Uta. We even roped her into our bike ride through the park. Oh did we mention that it was a 60km ride that we were not prepared for. Kelly was picturing singing "happy days" as she frolicked through the park, but oh no this was not a typical ride through the park. Why weren't we prepared for this ride? Oh I don't know maybe because the bike rental worker said "Here's your bikes, here's a map, give me an ID, Go!" We kind of thought it was odd he didn't even check our bikes but gave him the benefit of the doubt...though we continued to question our rattling tires and sqeaky brakes as we passed only avid moutain bikers along the path. Obviously this was where we were supposed to be, we thought, as we rode in our jeans, scarves and lack of spandex equipped with padding. They sold this route, the gap of Dunloe, as a 6 hr ride. We conquered it in 5 and that was with a flat tire pit stop. Upon our return, the wonderful bike rental man greeted us with "Did you F up anymore of my bikes?" We smiled, thanked him for all his help and returned our prized bikes to him. The views on our ride were incredible and well worth the pain. It was our top experience by far. :)
We spent our last full day in Killarney giving ourselves a break and taking a bus tour of the Ring of Kerry. Although the weather wasn't ideal for sightseeing we saw some amazing views learned some history, met some friends and enjoyed the ride. We topped off the night with a hostel trip to O'Conners for live music and Guinness...perfect Irish night.
Off to Dingle!!!
Now for some prayer requests... We can't even explain how fortunate we feel to be able to do what we are doing, and we are so thankful for each other as we are in the same place in life. We are both seeking God's direction in our next steps and realize we will probably just be in temporary living and working situations when we get home. Our hearts desire is to be lead to something that we are truly passionate about. This trip is really teaching us how to live is God's day to day faithfulness and trust in that for our future.
Thanks for your support and prayers. We continue to see Ireland as a great blessing and a much needed time of growth and reflection. We are so thankful for each other and you!

A video of Flavien and his magic trick we wished would have raised us money for dinner...but sadly we were his biggest fans and a 6 year old!
Ask us about this photo when we get home...we leave you in suspense! oh...the anticipation is killing you...we know!
Oh, looks like you saw something scary:-/ or disturbing, yes, very disturbing, lol. What a fun video!! And beautiful pictures of Killarney. Was the horse wild? It looks like you got awefully close to it. What a gorgeous shot of you two with an ocean background. You are in my prayers, and I'm selfishly adding that I hope you end up back here:). Hope you're doing well.
